DECATUR — Savannah smoked meat institution B's Cracklin' BBQ suffered a devastating fire last month and is trying to rebuild from the ground up. This Sunday, Kimball House is hosting a benefit event with barbecue, sides, and Creature Comforts beer. B's chef/owner Bryan Furman will prepare the 'cue, including whole-hog pulled pork, ribs, and chicken. Local chefs Jeff Wall (Kimball House) and Ryan Smith (the forthcoming Staplehouse) will cook up sides such as "Diana Ross Says These Are The Best" collard greens. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and all proceeds will go to the B's rebuild. [EaterWire]
