Matt Weinstein, who most recently ran the kitchen at the recently shuttered Woodfire Grill, has found a new home. Weinstein is on board as co-executive chef at ONE. Midtown Kitchen, Concentrics Restaurant Group confirmed to Eater Atlanta Thursday morning. He's joining forces with fellow One executive chef Christopher Maher.
"Weinstein's out-of-the-box modern cooking perfectly complements Maher's more classically refined approach," PR for Concentrics said in a statement. "Both are having a lot of fun developing a menu that exudes both strengths. The talent, between the two, is unparalleled and is already making this Midtown staple a lot of fun for its regulars and new diners alike."
One is also bringing in Russell McQueary, previous director of operations at YEAH! Burger and manager at Bartaco, as general manager.
In other Woodfire Grill alum news, Nicolas Quinones, the restaurant's former owner, is taking over as general manager at Cooks & Soldiers in Westside. Castellucci Hospitality Group PR confirmed to Eater Atlanta Thursday morning that Quinones will begin as GM "in the next few weeks."
