— Ramen Freak, chef Mihoko Obunai's Monday night ramen pop-up at The Sound Table, is nearing a return from summer vacation. Obunai is targeting September 14 to begin service again. Ramen Freak has been on hiatus since the beginning of June.

The 2016 GOP hopeful reportedly ordered a respectable meal of a yellow dog, onion rings, and a frosted orange. No word on whether Bush used the proper lingo and called his milkshake an F.O.

— On the other side of the political aisle, Poncey-Highland icon Manuel's Tavern is sending well wishes to President Jimmy Carter, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. Carter and Manuel's, which has long been a favorite of Democratic politicians, go way back: The bar was where Carter launch his first gubernatorial campaign in 1970. Manuel's is sporting a large banner that reads "Get Well Soon, Jimmy!"
