A shuffle in the Linton Hopkins restaurant empire: Brian Jones, who was serving as chef de cuisine at Restaurant Eugene, has been promoted to executive chef. Hopkins previously held the position, but with more restaurants in the works, he's stepping back to focus on his Resurgens Hospitality Group.
"Chef Hopkins has been the executive chef and co-proprietor of Restaurant Eugene since its opening in 2004," Resurgens PR said in a statement provided to Eater Atlanta. "As he and Gina's roles as restaurateurs grow with the expansion of our group, they felt the need for someone other than Chef Hopkins to take on the day-to-day role as executive chef. Chef Brian has demonstrated the talent, leadership, and values essential for stepping into this position and they are excited to see him grow with us."
Resurgens also operates Holeman & Finch Public House, The Cafe at Linton's, H&F Bread Co., H&F Bottle Shop, and H&F Burger at Turner Field. Hopkins has two Ponce City Market ventures, another H&F Burger and Hop's Chicken, on track to open this fall.
