Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken, Thursday at Noon

Welcome back to Eater Scenes, in which Eater photographers visit local establishments to capture them at a certain, specific point in time. Today, the first lunch service at Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken.

Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken is a Memphis-based chain that has developed a large and loyal following in the decades it's been around. Gus's first Atlanta location opened Thursday at 11 a.m., taking up space in Downtown's Peachtree Center. If the day one crowd is any indication, it's going to be a hit and a contender in the contest for this city's favorite fried chicken. Here now, a look inside Gus's during the restaurant's debut lunch service.
