Another heavy hitter in Atlanta's food scene is getting in on the Ponce City Market action. King of Pops, the popsicle favorite with carts around the city and a home base in Inman Park, announced a brick-and-mortar outpost at the development on Sunday, claiming the new location "will have more than just pops."

King of Pops is the second frozen dessert concept to sign on with Ponce City Market, following Honeysuckle Gelato, and the popsicle purveyor hopes to open next month. Its announcement comes a couple of weeks after celebrity chef Jonathan Waxman was revealed as a tenant in the market's Central Food Hall.
