Ford Fry Burger at Shake Shack; Lowcountry Boil at Avalon

BUCKHEAD — Tireless Atlanta restaurateur Ford Fry will have his own burger at the local Shake Shack outpost on Saturday, September 19, reports Atlanta Magazine. No details on how the burger might turn out, but it will be available for one day only at the Buckhead Atlanta restaurant. [Atlanta]

ALPHARETTA — Avalon restaurants Oak Steakhouse and Colletta will host a lowcountry boil and pig roast in Palmer Plaza on Sunday, September 6. From 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., chefs Mike Perez and Eric Zizka will serve up specials to go along with live entertainment, $5 beer and wine, and a la carte desserts. Tickets are available online. CITYWIDE — From Monday, September 14, to Saturday, September, 19, many local restaurants will participate in the inaugural Bert's Big Adventure's Inaugural Restaurant Week. Ten percent of all sales from participating restaurants during the week-long promotion will go towards Bert's Big Adventure's annual trip to Disney World for children with chronic illnesses. Participants include Avellino's Pizza in Brookhaven and Decatur, Buttermilk Kitchen, Yeah! Burger in Westside and Virginia-Highland, Suwanee Park Tavern in Suwanee, 1Kept in Buckhead, all 25 Taco Mac locations, all nine Tin Lizzy's Cantina locations, and all eight Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center locations.
