— With Ponce City Market's Central Food Hall coming together, Simply Seoul Kitchen is the next project to get in on the action. After a couple of test-run days, the Korean food stall from Hannah Chung will officially open to the public on Tuesday. Regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. The stall serves Korean fare and take-away items such as jarred kimchi. 675 Ponce de Leon Avenue NE.
— Venkman's, the restaurant/rock venue from chef Nick Melvin and Nicholas Niespodziani and Peter Olson of Yacht Rock Revue, opens its doors tonight at 5 p.m. The menu offers Melvin's take on comfort foods such as trout beignets and chicken-fried tofu. The bar, led by Restaurant Eugene alum Bradford Tolleson, features classic cocktails, craft beers, rose on tap, and a variety of booze-infused slushies. (Although, it's BYOB until the liquor license comes through, which should be any day now.) As for the music, Venkman's plans to host live shows throughout the week, "ramping up in energy and volume as the week progresses." — Ramen Freak, the Monday night pop-up from chef Mihoko Obunai, returns from its summer hiatus tonight. Taking over the kitchen at The Sound Table, Obunai will serve two types of ramen (meat and vegetarian), along with an Izakaya menu and sake, beer, and cocktails. Obunai has teamed up with Creature Comforts Beer in Athens to create Yuzu Athena Paradiso, a limited-edition "supreme sour" that is available only at the pop-up. — Flora and Flour, which got its start by working the farmers market circuit, has opened a stall inside the Global Grub Collective (formerly Urban Cannibals) in East Atlanta Village. Serving breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the restaurant offers a menu centered around biscuit and bagel sandwiches. 477 Flat Shoals Avenue SE.
