After closing the original Urban Cannibals in East Atlanta Village, We Serve People Restaurant Group is ready to relaunch in Midtown's former Cruzado space at 368 5th Street. The bodega and cafe will begin a soft opening period this Saturday, serving limited brunch and dinner menus on the weekend and lunch and dinner during the week. The soft opening will run through October 1.
Hours will be flexible this month, but weekend brunch and dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Once Urban Cannibals officially opens, We Serve People's next project, Madre + Mason, will kick off a two-week soft opening on October 1. The "Southern-Latin family kitchen" will set up shop at 560 Dutch Valley Road, right next to Piedmont Park.
It's been a busy few months for We Serve People. In addition to working on the new Urban Cannibals and Madre + Mason, the restaurant group opened Tipple + Rose Tea + Apothecary six weeks ago in Virginia-Highland.
