Andrew Smith, previously of Ormsby's in Westside, has moved down the street to take over as executive chef at West Egg Cafe. Sous chef John Williams, who had been running the West Egg kitchen while the restaurant searched for new blood, move over to The General Muir.
Before his two-year stint as the opening chef at Ormsby's, Williams was in charge at Virginia-Highland's Atkins Park Tavern for 11 years. His professional experience in Atlanta also includes time at Horseradish Grill, Sala, MidCity Cuisine. In addition to helming West Egg's kitchen during the day, Williams will oversee Oddbird, the restaurants' regular hot chicken pop-up, Wednesday through Saturday evenings.
