LDV Hospitality's second Buckhead Atlanta venture is ready to go. The same restaurant group that launched Corso Coffee late last year will open Dolce Italian Friday at 5 p.m. It's the third outpost for the restaurant, following locations in Miami and Chicago. The Miami restaurant was recently crowned champion of Bravo's Best New Restaurant series, hosted by Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio.
The restaurant is inspired by director Federico Fellini and 1960s Rome. Executive chef Paolo Dorigato's menu will feature "Italian cuisine in its purest form with his simple yet bold, authentic and seasonal menus," according to a release. Look for housemade pasta and dishes such as seafood risotto, meatballs over polenta, and a selection of Neapolitan-style pizzas. The 150-seat dining room is surrounded by a collection of mid-century modern furniture and art, and a 50-seat wrap-around outdoor terrace overlooks Buckhead Atlanta's shops.
Dolce Italian, located at 3035 Peachtree Road NE, is open for dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Lunch is in the works and should be available soon. The next LDV Hospitality concept planned for Buckhead Atlanta is celebrity chef Marc Forgione's American Cut steakhouse, which is on pace to begin service early next year.
