After a couple of weeks of previews and guest chef dinners, Staplehouse is officially opening to the public Thursday night. Only the patio will be open initially, seating diners communal style on a first-come, first-served basis. If the a la carte menu is similar to the restaurant's patio preview series, look for dishes such as confit chicken wings and grilled oysters with popcorn butter. Regular patio hours are Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Staplehouse, located at 541 Edgewood Avenue, is the evolution of Jen Hidinger's pop-up with her late husband and chef Ryan. Former Empire State South chef Ryan Smith helms the kitchen, and proceeds from the restaurant benefit The Giving Kitchen. It's the first Atlanta eatery to make use of Chicago restaurateur Nick Kokonas' Tock ticketing system.
This post has been updated to correct that Staplehouse's liquor license hasn't come through yet, and there is no BYOB service.
