Originally planning to launch a two-week soft open this Thursday, Madre + Mason is pushing back a few days, according to a release. The restaurant, described by owners Calavino Donati and Doria Roberts as a "Latin-Southern kitchen," will instead begin its soft opening run this Monday, October 5. The new restaurant opens on the heels of Donati and Roberts' Urban Cannibals relaunch in Midtown. The duo's We Serve People Restaurant Group opened Tipple + Rose Tea + Apothecary less than two months ago in Virginia-Highland.

When it opens at 560 Dutch Valley Road in Midtown, Madre + Mason will serve "traditional Latin meat-and-three favorites" for brunch, lunch and dinner, including turkey-poblano meatloaf with jalapeno-tequila gravy, alongside an extensive wine, spirit, and tequila menu.
