Venkman's Plans to Open Next Week

Venkman's, the forthcoming restaurant/rock venue from chef Nick Melvin and Nicholas Niespodziani and Peter Olson of Yacht Rock Revue, will open its doors Monday, September 14, the restaurant announced. Nightly dinner service will run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Melvin's menu will feature his take on comfort foods such as trout beignets and chicken-fried tofu. The bar, led by Restaurant Eugene alum Bradford Tolleson, will feature classic cocktails, craft beers, rose on tap, and a variety of booze-infused slushies. As for the music, Venkman's plans to host live shows throughout the week, "ramping up in energy and volume as the week progresses."

Venkman's will take up residence in the former NuGrape Soda Factory at 740 Ralph McGill Boulevard.
