Since he shuttered his three Morningside eateries last year, angry chef Ron Eyester has been focusing 100 percent on improving Diner in Atlantic Station. The restaurant got off to a rocky start, opening after several delays and receiving a zero-star review from Wyatt Williams of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Now, Eyester hopes to usher in a new era for the restaurant, and he's serving a revamped menu.
"I know it's probably going to get worse before it gets better, but I don't know if Diner was ever able to come to life the way it should have been without Rosebud being dead," Eyester told Eater Atlanta in October. He wants Diner to "emerge as a fantastic hub" at Atlantic Station, and he's been focusing improving execution. "I think that Diner can ultimately give me a lot of diversity and really allow me to be creative as I want to be," Eyester said.
The Top Chef alum redesigned the menu to be more visually pleasing, but it's still quite expansive. Ground covered includes everything from "big-ass muffins," omelettes, and lighter dishes at breakfast to seared scallops, pork medallions, and fried chicken at dinner.
