Iconic Atlanta architect John C. Portman Jr. opened his newest Downtown restaurant on New Year's Eve, continuing his dining legacy that started with Midnight Sun. JP Atlanta takes up residence at the new Hotel Indigo development, and chef Julio Delgado is on board to turn out his take on traditional fine dining fare.
John Portman & Associates was in charge of the restaurant's design. JP Atlanta's space includes a 20-foot-tall skylight, "a grand staircase seemingly floating in space," and a glass canopy-topped bar. The restaurant aims to offer a "tremendous level of culinary execution and attention to service in one of the city's most artistic and exciting restaurant environments," according to consultant Ray Camillo, who helped come up with the concept.
JP Atlanta, located at 230 Peachtree Street NE, is serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here now, take a first look inside the restaurant via the above gallery.
