Cole Younger Just Is Out at The Cockentrice

Cole Younger Just’s short time as beverage director at The Cockentrice has come to an end. Just tells Eater Atlanta he left the Krog Street Market restaurant "about three or four weeks ago," and he’s been taking some time off and weighing his options for the future.

"As far as my next move, I've got a few people that have expressed some interest," Just said in an email. "However, I think it is imperative to ensure that wherever I commit to, that both myself and the operators share a common vision and commitment to integrity in our craft."

Just, who joined the restaurant in April, cited slow summer months causing a "budgetary constraint" on The Cockentrice’s beverage program as reason for his departure: "I wish them well and hope that they can weather through the storm and see the restaurant through to the busy season."

The Spotted Trotter butcher shop owners Kevin and Megan Ouzts opened their meat-centric restaurant in January 2015. Megan Ouzts tells Eater Atlanta they have not decided on a replacement for Just.
