The Flying Biscuit Cafe, the wildly popular local breakfast chain, is expanding westward. Eater Dallas reports the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro area will soon be home to three new Flying Biscuit locations. A press release says the restaurants should be up and running early next year.
Raving Brands restaurant group currently operates 11 Flying Biscuit outposts in the Atlanta metro area, plus another in Gainesville, Fla., and three more in North Carolina. Entry into the Dallas market is the first step toward some major growth plans for the chain. Flying Biscuit is making moves on Houston, New Orleans, Nashville, Charleston, Orlando, and Tampa, according to the release.
Local chef and restaurateur Delia Champion opened the first Flying Biscuit in Candler Park in 1993. She sold the concept to Raving Brands in 2006.
