There seems to be an insatiable hunger for ramen in Atlanta, and shops are opening across the metro area in an attempt to feed it. Next up is chef Mihoko Obunai’s Nexto. The much-anticipated Poncey-Highland restaurant will come online this Monday, October 24, a representative tells Eater Atlanta.

Further information on regular hours and the menu were not immediately available. Obunai is opening Nexto in partnership with Concentrics Restaurants, the company behind Tap, One Midtown Kitchen, Parish, and more. The ramen shop is taking over a BeltLine-adjacent space at 828 Ralph McGill Blvd. NE, next door to Two Urban Licks, another Concentrics concept.

Obunai and Concentrics first announced plans for Nexto in January. The chef previously built a local reputation with her Ramen Freak and Mibo Love pop-ups. She’s also spent time in the kitchens at Huge Cafe, Southbound, Jolie Kobe, and Repast. In 2012, Obunai trained with chef Jack Nakamura at Ramen Lab in New York City, and she was one of five "ramen masters" featured in the StarChefs International Chefs Congress Ramen Battle in Brooklyn.
