The first restaurant to open at the forthcoming 675 N. Highland mixed-use behemoth has a launch date in sight. Rize Artisan Pizza is aiming to begin service the week of November 7, according to a Wednesday announcement.
Rize will serve lunch and dinner daily, Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The menu includes small plates, salads, pastas, and flatbreads, and the pizza list is broken down into signature (think Asian barbecue chicken), specialty (BLT), classic (margherita), and build-your-own options. Dessert comes in the form of a selection of gelato and sorbets.
At the bar, look for beer and wine, plus sangria by the glass or carafe (perfect for the traditional Sunday Funday meal).
"Pizza is the best communal food, and sangria is the ultimate communal drink you can find," Rize founder and chief executive officer John Smith said in a bold, prepared statement. "The most important moments in our lives are surrounded by food, and we look forward to sharing those moments with the Poncey-Highland community."
