NPR producer-turned-coffee roaster Chip Grabow is expanding his Decatur business to serve the public. Radio Roasters will begin holding Saturday morning hours, when customers can purchase caffeinated beverages from the roastery’s new "barista capsule."
Grabow will man the capsule, sort of a mini-coffee bar on wheels, to serve batch brew, espresso with almond milk, pour-over, and traditional or mocha shakeratos. Service will run from 9 a.m. to noon, every Saturday through the end of the year (with the exception of November 26).
Grabow sources beans from around the world and roasts them himself at his facility. Selections are available for purchase on Radio Roasters’s website.
