TGM Bread’s Pizza Pop-Up Says Goodbye This Week [Updated]

Fans of the "rustic pizza" pop-up that’s been going on at TGM Bread would be advised to stop by for a slice on Friday — after that, it’s gone. The Emory Point bakery from the General Muir team is ending its latest lunchtime venture this week.

TGM Bread, located right next door to The General Muir, has been hosting regular weekday lunch pop-ups since February and changing formats every few months. In addition to pizza, which has been on the menu since late July, the bakery has previously offered pressed sandwiches and pita wraps. There’s no word yet on what might come next. Eater Atlanta has reached out to co-owner Jennifer Johnson for more information.

TGM Bread opened its doors in January, focusing on wholesale baked goods for restaurant clients. The bakery also offers retail hours to the public on Saturdays and Sundays.

Update: October 6, 4:50 p.m. Johnson tells Eater Atlanta TGM Bread will take a one-week break and come back with a soup and bread pop-up, "hopefully coinciding with cool fall weather."

"It will run Tuesdays to Fridays, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.," Johnson said in an email. "Approximately five soup choices, each paired with a roll or other bread, baked that morning. The soups also will be available in a bread boule. So, for example: potato-leek soup with asiago pain levain or lox chowder with demi baguette or chicken and rice with cranberry-walnut bread. Guests also can take home soup and bread for dinner."
