Staplehouse continues to become a nationally known name. The Old Fourth Ward restaurant helmed by Jen and Kara Hidinger and chef Ryan Smith was exposed to a new audience over the weekend: viewers of CBS Sunday Morning. The network featured Staplehouse's story, from its tragic beginnings, to the creation of The Giving Kitchen, to recent critical accolades.
Since opening in September 2015, Staplehouse has been named to multiple best-of lists for national publications, and it was a finalist for the James Beard Foundation's Best New Restaurant Award. Here at Eater Atlanta, it was named Restaurant of the Year for 2016, and Smith was tabbed as Chef of the Year.
