My Two Souths, Spice to Table chef Asha Gomez’s first cookbook, is on shelves now, and it’s time to celebrate. Gomez is teaming up with chef Meherwan Irani of Chai Pani to cook a seven-course dinner that features recipes from the book. It’s scheduled for Monday, December 12, at Irani’s Decatur restaurant.
Tickets are $95 and available online. They include the feast and a copy of My Two Souths, and Gomez will host a Q-and-A session following the dinner.
When Gomez revealed plans for her book, she told Eater Atlanta it would tell the “story of the two Souths I've called home, the Indian South and the American South. To the extent that food is an expression of personality, what you'll experience is this cookbook is the culmination of all my culinary journeys that finds itself on a plate."
