After 17 years in business in Candler Park, Radial Cafe is ready for a spin-off. Owner Frank Bragg announced he’s opening a second location for the restaurant, setting his sights on College Park. The new Radial Cafe is taking over the former Pecan restaurant space, which dates back to 1910.

“It’s important to us that we honor tradition — in food and architecture — in the best way possible: making it relevant to people today,” Bragg said in a prepared statement. “Not only will the original 1917 Coca-Cola mural remain, but the furnishings will also reflect the heritage of the period, as interpreted with a contemporary design aesthetic.”

Radial Cafe’s College Park address is 3725 Main St., and Bragg hopes to have the restaurant open this spring. Similar to the Candler Park original, it will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and local catering will be available.
