Pop-up king Jarrett Stieber and his wife and business partner Hallie are looking to open a restaurant of their own, and they’re close to making it happen. But, the chef tells Eater Atlanta they are “still looking to raise more money.”
Stieber has operated his Eat Me Speak Me weekend dinner pop-up out of Candler Park’s Gato for a couple of years now, but he says a potential full-service restaurant would have different branding and would not be a permanent Eat Me Speak Me location. He’s looking for “serious investors” to push the project over the top and encourages interested parties to get in touch.
At Eat Me Speak Me, Stieber serves complex small plates made of ingredients he finds during weekly trips to the farmers market. He previously hosted a monthly yakitori pop-up, appropriately dubbed Eat Me Yaki. Stieber isn’t ready to reveal what the concept might look like if he’s able to lock down a brick-and-mortar spot.
