Changes are on the way for one of Atlanta's established sushi purveyors. After 14 years in its space at 375 Pharr Road in Buckhead, Taka is almost ready to move on. The restaurant will close its doors on Saturday, March 5, according to a post on its official blog, and chef/owner Taka Moriuchi hopes to reopen in Sandy Springs by the end of April. Moriuchi thanked his customers in a post on Facebook.
What I got in 14 years of Taka Sushi business? It was value of customers. It cannot exchange to money. Business is money...

In the meantime, Take will take up temporary residence in the space previously operated by the recently shuttered Cafe at Pharr. Moriuchi says dinner service will begin on March 9 at 3145 Peachtree Road, and alcohol will be BYOB only.
Taka's Sandy Springs location will be part of the Gateway mixed-use development at 4600 Roswell Road. The restaurant originally opened in Buckhead in 2002.
