For the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Wyatt Williams reviews Porch Light Latin Kitchen in Smyrna. Williams awards the recently opened restaurant an "excellent" rating of three out of four stars, and he says it's a stunning debut for chef Andre Gomez:

Porch Light is a much better restaurant than it needs to be, more fun and generous, more interesting, more delicious. The place excels on its own terms. ... It is an impressive accomplishment for a young chef's first restaurant. Atlantans, take note of chef Andre Gomez. I believe you'll be talking about him for a long time.

Over at Creative LoafingBrad Kaplan takes a first look at Bread & Butterfly. Kaplan finds all-day success at Billy Allin's new Inman Quarter restaurant:

It's a lovely looking glass that manages to conjure visions of the sidewalk cafes of Paris, but never lets go of its footing here in Atlanta. In other words, it's perfectly charming. ... On my last visit, wrapping up a late dinner, I sipped the last of my chenin blanc and noticed the warm glow of the word "merci" in yellow neon over the green-tiled wall. The feeling was entirely mutual.
