Midtown's Article 14 is no more. The restaurant that had become known for its cocktail program closed its doors over the weekend, officially announcing the news on its website.
"We would like to thank the thousands of Atlantans who dined with us over the past several years at Article 14," a statement reads. "A special thanks to the many businesses and professional groups that met weekly at our establishment for lunches, happy hours, and corporate events. Unfortunately, Saturday, February 27, will be our last day 1180 Peachtree, our lease will be ending and we have chosen not to renew at this time."
What Now Atlanta reports Olmstead, the events space next door, has shuttered as well. Olmstead previously operated as a restaurant in its own right, but its business concept was changed in 2013. Both ventures were owned by Legacy Restaurant Partners, the company behind Luckie-Marietta District restaurants Stats, Der Biergarten, and Twin Smokers BBQ.
Article 14 opened in October 2012, taking over the former Trois location at 1180 Peachtree Street NE. There's no word on what might move into the adjacent spaces.
