Le Fat has been serving lunch and dinner in Westside since last summer, but now Guy Wong's Vietnamese restaurant is adding a more fast-casual approach. Wong has launched a cafe at the eatery, serving a selection of banh mi, noodle soups, and bubble tea.
The cafe is located within the same space, in the area to the left of the bar and main dining room. Wong tells Eater Atlanta the cafe is replacing Le Fat's previous lunch operation, and it will offer a few counter seats to go along with a focused to-go service. The main restaurant's hours are now Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
In a prepared statement, Wong said the new format came from customer requests: "We heard from many of our regulars and residents in the neighborhood that they are in a hurry at lunchtime and need food to go. Like great Vietnamese street food, many of our dishes are highly portable, so making the switch to counter and to-go service makes a lot of sense. We're excited to give our guests what they requested."
Lunch hours for Le Fat's cafe are Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take a look at the new cafe menu below.
