Chipotle temporarily closed all locations across America Monday, taking a step to implement new safety standards in the wake of a public health disaster. For anyone who dropped by their local restaurant and found locked doors, the chain wants to make amends. Chipotle is offering a free burrito who texts "raincheck" to 888-222 until 6 p.m. today.

After sending the text, customers need to fill out a three-line form, and Chipotle says its will text a coupon for a free burrito "in the next few days." So if you're undeterred by the company's many E. coliNorovirus, and Salmonella reports in recent months, here's a chance to get a free lunch.

Chipotle operates dozens out outposts across the Atlanta area. Last week, the locally based Centers for Disease Control gave the company the "all-clear" on its seemingly never-ending E. coli outbreak. In all, Chipotle's the outbreak sickened 60 people across 11 states and sent 22 to the hospital.
