Chef and restaurateur Doug Turbush opened Drift Fish House & Oyster Bar on Sunday, bringing to life his third East Cobb restaurant. Drift takes up residence in The Avenue East Cobb development at 4475 Roswell Road in Marietta, about a mile from Seed Kitchen & Bar and Stem Wine Bar, Turbush's previous ventures.
Brendan Keenan, a chef de cuisine under Turbush since 2011, is on board as executive chef at Drift. He's said his menu will "showcase the best seafood species that the East and Gulf Coasts have to offer," and now we have a first look. The offerings are broken down into lists of starters, soups and salads, sandwiches, larger plates, sides, and raw bar selections. Kennan sticks to the seafood concept, with only the three entrees and one burger offering a reprieve to anyone who might have an aversion to fish and shellfish.
Drift is open for dinner daily, beginning at 5 p.m., and lunch and brunch service should begin soon. Take a look at the full menu below.
