Having already created a destination for Southern cuisine like your grandma used to make, Kevin Gillespie and the team at Revival are expanding their horizons. Gillespie is nearing the launch of a beer garden at the restaurant, according to some social media posts.
A representative for Revival confirmed the beer garden is called Communion and said "it is really close to opening." The project is in Revival's backyard and is an "extension of the restaurant." Further details and a specific opening date were not provided.
Following the success of his first restaurant, Gunshow, Gillespie opened Revival in Decatur's former Harbour House Pub space last July. It immediately was became a hit, and the restaurant took home the 2015 Eater Award for Atlanta restaurant that's So Hot Right Now.
