Krog Dogs Planned for Inman Park; Ex-Sobban Chef Working on Marietta Eatery

Plus, a replacement for McGowan's is in the works and Revelator Coffee's second Atlanta shop opens soon

— A new hot dog stand is on its way to Inman Park. Krog Dogs will open in about six weeks, reports Tomorrow's News Today, taking up residence a few blocks down the street from Krog Street Market. A website and Instagram account for the business are bare bones at the moment, but a Facebook event has been set up for a grand opening party on Saturday, May 7.

Krog Dogs is throwing a doggy-good time of a party, and we can't wait to see y'all there," reads the invite. "All of our Dogs are locally sourced and delicious. Yum! Bring your friends, bring your kids, and dammit, don't forget Grandma!" Inman Park: 10 Krog St.

— Korean-Southern diner Sobban sadly shuttered in December, and now chef Brian So has a new project in the works. So will open Spring in next month in Marietta Square, according to Atlanta Magazine, where he'll serve "a small but highly curated menu that changes based on the availability of local ingredients." Look for fresh pasta, crudo, tartar appetizer, local fish, chicken, and meat. Spring will serve local beers and a list of organic and byodynamic wines curated by Miller Union's Daniel Crawford. — The long-vacant space that previously housed McGowan's Oakhurst Pub will soon have a new tenant. Scout, owned by Decatur resident Chris Martha, will move into the building sometime this summer, per Decaturish. Scout will feature "local, Southern ingredients, as well as redefining classic comfort foods in a social setting." The bar will offer "the artisanship of the staff, local brewers, and boutique wineries." Decatur: 321 West Hill St.

— Birmingham-based coffee shop Revelator's second Atlanta location will open in Midtown, reports What Now Atlanta. It will set up shot in the Square on Fifth development and is on track to begin service in early April. Revelator opened its first Atlanta shop last August in WestsideMidtown: 848 Spring St NW.
