The breakfast chain is moving in

The former home of Paul's Restaurant will become an outpost for Marietta-based upscale breakfast chain J. Christopher's. An observant tipster has noticed some J. Christopher's signage on the building at 10 Kings Cir. NE, which was put up for sale by longtime Atlanta chef Paul Albrecht in January 2015. Tomorrow's News Today reports the new location is a replacement for J. Christopher's at 3050 Peachtree Road.

Albrecht, who helped open Pano's and Paul's in 1979, retired last year, putting the buildings that housed Social Vinings and his eponymous restaurant on the market. The chef was a co-founder of the Buckhead Life restaurant group. He opened Paul's in 2005 and followed with Social Vinings in 2008, the same year Pano's and Paul's closed.

Last month, 101 Concepts announced it was moving into the Social Vinings space. The company behind Cibo e Beve, Food 101, Meehan's Public House, and Smoke Ring will open 101 Steak at 3621 Vinings Slope SE, and the current timeline calls for service to begin by late spring. Joey Ahn, previously of SOHO and the recently shuttered Timone's, is on board as a partner and executive chef.

J. Christopher's operates more than 20 locations across Georgia and Tennessee. On its website, the chain is described as offering "a neighborhood daytime breakfast and lunch featuring traditional house-made favorites, healthy choices, and creative menu options in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere." Founders Jay McCann and Chris Brogdan opened their first restaurant in Marietta in 1997.
