Construction Is Underway at Richards' Southern Fried in Krog Street Market

The hot chicken stall is on track to open this spring

Todd Richards, chef at Downtown's White Oak Kitchen and formerly of The Shed at Glenwood and The Pig & The Pearl, is another step closer to opening his hot chicken stall at Krog Street Market. Construction has begun on Richards' Southern Fried, as detailed by a Tuesday Instagram post, officially putting the stall on course to open this spring.

Earlier this month, representatives for Richards' Southern Fried told Eater Atlanta it was on track to begin service in April or May. When it does open, the stall will offer fried chicken in three varieties: classic, hot, and "Richards' HOT." The yardbird will be served in sandwich and plate form and accompanied by sides such as potato wedges; stewed okra and tomatoes; and broccoli, rice, and cheese casserole.

Richards' Southern Fried will take up residence inside Krog Street Market across from Gu's Dumplings and adjacent to The Spotted Trotter and The Cockentrice.
