Local restaurateur Justin Anthony officially closed Yebo, his South African-Southern restaurant at Phipps Plaza, on Monday, vacating the space for a new location on West Paces Ferry Road. Anthony called for patrons to stay tuned for "additional details and opening news," and it turns out those details involve a concept change. When the restaurant relaunches at 111 West Paces Ferry Rd., it will be known as Yebo Beach Haus, reports Atlanta Magazine.

The new eatery reportedly is keeping Anthony's South African influence, but it's ditching the Southern part of the concept. Instead, Anthony will incorporate elements from Venice Beach and the Hamptons: "It's more sophisticated beachy as opposed to beach shack," the restaurateur told Atlanta. Anthony cited the old concept not fitting into the new location, which previously housed Coast, as the reason for the change.
Scheduled to open April 19, Yebo Beach Haus, will include some standards from the old menu, but it mainly will focus on small plates.
Yebo Beach Haus will be the third new restaurant for Anthony in less than six months. The growth of his South African empire began with the launch of Cape Dutch in the former Woodfire Grill space in November, and he followed that up with Biltong Bar inside Ponce City Market at the beginning of February. Anthony also operates 10 Degrees South in Buckhead.
Coast was one of the many Here to Serve restaurants that shuttered when the company collapsed last October.
