East Atlanta Village's Global Grub Collective, the mini food hall of sorts adjacent to We Suki Suki in the former Urban Cannibals space, is about to welcome two new tenants. East Atlanta Breakfast Spot will serve breakfast (duh) seven days a week, and The Midnight Marauder will dish out specialty hot dogs on weekend nights.
East Atlanta Breakfast Spot begins service Tuesday, April 5, according to a post We Suki Suki's Facebook page. The concept revolves around build-your-own buttermilk biscuits, which can be augmented with a choice of eggs, housemande sausage, bacon, and sausage or mushroom gravy. Housemade jams and grits will be available as well. The new stall will help to fill a void left by the recent closing of Flora & Flour. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, and Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As for The Midnight Marauder, it appears to be a late-night pop-up with a flair for the dramatic. Its initial run is scheduled for this Friday and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., located "stealthily inside We Suki Suki." Look for hot dogs from The Spotted Trotter, plant-based hot dogs from No Evil Foods, and a selection of housemade condiments. The dogs are served on steamed H&F Bread Co. rolls. (Update: The Marauder tells Eater Atlanta buns will be toasted on the grill.) The Midnight Marauder's website declares the pop-up to be "the defender of the late-night snack."
In addition to the new projects planned for the Global Grub Collective, We Suki Suki is about to make a menu change of its own. To mark the arrival of warmer weather, pho will be replaced by bun after this Saturday's service.
