The team behind Barcelona Wine Bar has opened the doors at its second Atlanta outpost. Located in the Westside Ironworks development at 1085 Howell Mill Rd. NW, Barcelona Westside Ironworks officially began service last week, and it's open daily from 4 p.m. to late-night.

The restaurant was the first announced tenant for the big redevelopment project back in July 2014, and construction on the "mid-century industrial space" was completed last monthBenjamin Meyer, who previously served as chef de cuisine at Iridescence in Detroit, is on board as executive chef. Like its sister restaurant in Inman Park, Barcelona Westside Ironworks offers a wide selection of tapas and a beverage program that focuses on cocktails and Spanish wines.

The restaurant's design includes a large patio that shows off a custom fireplace, which should remind diners of the Inman Park location. Convertible glass doors create an open-air atmosphere for al fresco dining with views of the Midtown skyline. The freestanding building provides 4,000 square feet of interior space.

Barcelona's opening marks the completion of the Westside Ironworks development, which also includes O-Ku Sushi and Tom + Chee, as well as a fashion boutique, hair salon, and home store. The restaurant is operated by Connecticut-based Barteca Holdings, the same company behind Bartaco, another brand with multiple Atlanta locations.
