Already neighbors at Inman Park's Krog Street Market, the folks behind Hop City and The Spotted Trotter are partnering on a beer garden at Alpharetta's Avalon development. The new venture is part of Avalon's Phase II expansion, a representative tells Eater Atlanta, and it should be up and running next spring.
Avalon first announced its Phase II plans back in October. The as-of-yet unnamed beer garden will offer beverages selected by Kraig Torres and the Hop City experts, and Kevin Ouzts and his Spotted Trotter team will provide the eats. Two more restaurants are planned for Phase II as well:
- Rumi's Kitchen, the popular Sandy Springs Persian eatery, will expand with a second location.
- Brine Fish House, from Marc Taft of Chicken and the Egg, will be the second seafood-centric restaurant at Avalon, following Kona Grill.
In addition to the Phase II projects, Avalon has two more Phase I restaurant openings on track this year. Farm to Ladle should begin service in early June, and Cafe Intermezzo is scheduled for a November debut. Avalon Phase II also will include a hotel, conference center, office space, apartments, and retail tenants such as The Boardroom Salon for Men, Lucky Brand, Brooks Brothers, Levi’s, and Urban Outfitters.
