After holding a soft opening last week, Atwoods Pizza Cafe is fully operational on the ground level of Midtown's Biltmore hotel. Chef Rob Philip of Hearth Pizza Tavern in Roswell designed the menu, focusing on traditional pies. During morning hours, look for dishes such as bread pudding French toast; a buttermilk-fried chicken biscuit with sweet pepper jelly, fontina cheese, and a fried egg; and four varieties of breakfast sandwiches.
Holding true to the cafe side of its concept, Atwoods welcomes the modern remote worker to pull out their laptop inside. The space is small with seating for 56, and exposed brick and concrete, brushed steel, and wood make for an industrial feel. Concrete columns feature images created by local artist Brian Holt. Outside, a small patio provides the option of al fresco dining along West Peachtree Street.
Atwoods Pizza Cafe is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Take a look inside via the photos below.
