Jay Swift, the chef and owner behind Old Fourth Ward's 4th & Swift, has been working on an OTP restaurant for a while. Now, Noble Fin is close to the finish line. An email with the subject "Opening Date" tells Noble Fin newsletter subscribers, "Watch for our exciting news, Monday, May 2."

Swift first announced plans to open his second local restaurant in October 2014, citing the draw of business and convention patrons in Peachtree Corners and the rising prices of ITP real estate as reasons for its chosen location. He originally intended to have it up and running by the end of 2015, but that goal was pushed back in December due to "a bunch of delays."

Swift's son Jeb Aldrich will run daily kitchen operations as chef de cuisine at Noble Fin. Aldrich is moving over from 4th & Swift, and in his new gig, his "contemporary American- and Mediterranean-inspired" menu will focus on seafood, steaks, housemade pastas, and local vegetables.

Noble Fin is taking over a former Dreamland Bar-B-Que space at 5260 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree Corners.
