Patio season is here, and Westside's Eight Sushi Lounge is celebrating by adding an outdoor dining venue of its own. Construction is underway, and the new space should be ready for service in six to eight weeks.
The patio, seen in the above rendering, will take up 809 square feet and offer seating for approximately 45 patrons. Eight plans to leave it open year round for lunch and dinner. A covered waiting area will be set up to the left of the restaurant's main entrance.
Eight Sushi Lounge comes from Lei G Ho, who also owns Rice Restaurant and Sushi Bar in Cumming. The restaurant opened in November, offering "a modern twist on a what sushi bars and Japanese restaurants are." Ho's goals for Eight are lofty; she wants to "change your perception of a neighborhood sushi bar and will alter forever your view of Japanese food."
Located at 930 Howell Mill Rd. NW, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner on weekdays and dinner only on weekends.
