With most of Ponce City Market's Central Food Hall up and running, the next big project is the development's rooftop space. Over the weekend, Atlantans got a first look at the Coney Island-themed venue, which includes an assortment of carnival games and amusements. The Roof is on track to officially open this summer, and when it does, a beer garden called Nine Mile Station will be there to quench visitors' thirsts.
Ponce City Market developer Jamestown is partnering with Slater Hospitality, from husband-and-wife team Kelvin and Mandy Slater, to bring Nine Mile Station to life. In addition to the suds, the beer garden will serve an "elevated concessions menu complete with snow cones, gourmet hot dogs, and more."
"Kelvin and I are thrilled to be part of this amazing project," Mandy Slater said in a prepared statement. "As soon as we heard about The Roof at PCM, we knew it was the perfect location to express our passion for creating unforgettable experiences through great food and hospitality."
Nine Mile Station's adjacent gaming area is officially known as Skyline Park. Representatives for Ponce City Market were unable to provide further details on what the beer garden's selection of brews might look like.
