Another Kickstarter campaign

The race to open the first cat cafe in Atlanta's city limits is on. After April Hill announced plans for Happy Tabby Cat Cafe in March, Hadyn Hilton revealed plans for her own as-of-yet-unnamed cafe last week. Hilton launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the project, and Hill is following suit. She hopes to raise $10,000 by 11:59 p.m. on May 24.

Donation levels for Happy Tabby range from $5 to $500 or more. At the lower end of the scale, contributors receive early access to the cafe's cat playroom and a rewards card from SpotOn. Big spenders receive the aforementioned perks plus a cafe tour, private party, t-shirt, handwritten card from Hill, and more. As of this posting, the campaign has raised $2,842 from 57 backers.

Hill hasn't settled on a location yet, but she's targeting Decatur and Poncey-Highland. She hopes to open Happy Tabby sometime this summer.
