Livingston Restaurant + Bar, which operates out of the Georgian Terrace hotel in Midtown, has new blood running the kitchen. Mark Breault is on board as executive chef, the restaurant announced Tuesday. Breault replaces Michael Semancik.
"We are delighted to welcome Chef Breault to the Livingston and the Georgian Terrace family," Guido Piccinni, the hotel's director of food and beverage, said in a prepared statement. "He is a culinary talent that will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to Livingston Restaurant + Bar. His vision and plan for Livingston is very much on par with that of Sotherly Hotels as a whole."
Breault has plenty of local hotel dining experience. From 2005 to 2014, he served as executive sous chef and then executive chef with the Hilton Atlanta and Hilton Atlanta Airport hotels. Most recently, Breault was executive chef at the Hyatt Atlanta Midtown from August 2014 until making the move to Livingston.
Semancik had served as Livingston's executive chef since July 2013. Details on his departure were not immediately available.
