Brush Sushi Izakaya opened on Church Street in Decatur last month, bringing to fruition the vision of chef and partner Jason Liang. With local experience and an eye for what this city was missing in its izakaya scene, the former One Sushi + executive chef and Craft Izakaya sushi chef says he's offering a concept "more in line with the traditions of the Japanese sushi-ya than Atlanta is used to seeing." So far, based on the positive early buzz, Liang's idea has proven to be a success.
