Buttermilk Kitchen is about to make it easier for diners to grab one of the restaurant's popular chicken biscuits. Beginning Sunday, June 5, chef Suzanne Vizethann will sporadically set up a cash-only stand behind the restaurant. The $10 biscuits will be served to go, from 10 a.m. until they're gone.
A representative tells Eater Atlanta there's no set schedule for when the stand will be in business, but anyone interested can subscribe to Buttermilk Kitchen's newsletter or follow the restaurant on social media to get a heads up in advance. On days when the stand is open, the chicken biscuit will still be available on Buttermilk Kitchen's regular menu inside the restaurant. Vizethann is launching the stand "as a to-go option for guests because of the huge demand for the chicken biscuits, since they often sell out in the restaurant."
Vizethann's chicken biscuit consists of a sweet tea-brined, pancake batter-fried chicken breast sandwiched in a buttermilk biscuit. It's topped with housemade red pepper jelly and served with bread and butter pickles.
