The Shops Buckhead Atlanta pizzeria Thirteen Pies appears to be no more. The restaurant closed its doors for good at the end of service Sunday night, reports Buckhead View, and its Facebook page has been deleted. The Atlanta location still is listed on Thirteen Pies's website.
Rumors of Thirteen Pies's impending shutter have been swirling for a while now, but representatives at Raised Palate Restaurants, the pizzeria's parent company, have insisted they were unfounded. American Food and Beverage, another Raised Palate concept, closed its Buckhead location in January, and at the time a spokesperson said the Fort Worth-based hospitality group would focus on its Texas ventures.
Thirteen Pies opened in October 2014, offering a regular selection of 12 pizzas and one rotating option — or a "13th pie." Executive chef Brandon Wolff's menu also consisted of housemade pastas, salads, small plates, and desserts.
Update: May 3, 12:30 p.m. The Shops Buckhead Atlanta already has a replacement lined up. Dallas-based Taverna, which serves northern Italian fare, will take over the space this October.
