Here's a meaty piece of news, just in time for Barbecue Week: Savannah-based B's Cracklin' Barbeque will open an Atlanta outpost this fall, reports Eater Charleston. The smokehouse will take over the former Hottie Hawgs BBQ space at 2061 Main St. NW in Riverside, according to What Now Atlanta.

Operated by husband-and-wife team Bryan and Nikki Furman, B's originally opened in Savannah in 2014, and it quickly gained a loyal following. The restaurant was destroyed by a fire in June 2015, but thanks in part to an outpouring of community support, it reopened at a new address last October.

B's serves pork ribs, chicken, and brisket, but the main attraction is chopped whole hog. As for sauce, the restaurant deploys a South Carolina-style mustard variety. If Atlanta's reception is anything like what the Furmans saw in Savannah, their restaurant will become on of the hottest barbecue joints in town.

"We had people lining up outside the restaurant, and even when we ran out of food, and told them it would be three hours, they still waited," Bryan Furman told Eater Charleston. "We couldn't believe people were waiting three hours."
